Camilo, who is one of the five children of the Argentinian revolutionary Che Guevara, was born in Havana, in 1962. He was named after Camilo Cienfuegos, who died in a plane crash the year of the Revolution and who was one of the three most important names of the Cuban Revolution alongside Fidel Castro and Che Guevara.
Camilo Guevara studied law and took a special interest in photography. He opened seven solo exhibitions, some of which took place in Austria, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Cuba and Italy; he also attended seven group shows. He was one of the leading executives of the Che Center in Havana.
He died at 29th August 2022.
